The fifteenth annual “Breastfeeding: The Gold Standard” conference is an opportunity to learn about the latest evidence-based practices in the field of lactation to better serve the breastfeeding mothers and babies in your community. This outstanding conference will be held at the Hampton Inn & Suites, 1201 Convention Center Boulevard, New Orleans, Louisiana, and provides 3 days of excellent presentations.

Continuing nursing education hours will be awarded to RN’s who register, miss no more than 10% of class time and complete an evaluation form. Applications have been submitted for CHES, and OT Contact Hours, and CERPs.

· Want to prepare to recertify for the IBLCE exam
· Need to recertify because you have let your IBCLC “lapse”
· Want to prepare to take the IBLCE exam for the first time
· Have recently completed a 3-6 day breastfeeding program before 2011 & want to update your knowledge. If the 3-6 day program was in 2011 you may still take the May 18 exam review.
· Are an IBCLC and want to earn CERPs while updating your knowledge

This course is designed for you if you meet ONE or more of the following criteria:
· Have attended a comprehensive 3-6 day program in breastfeeding education
· Have strong clinical skills in assisting breastfeeding families
· Are licensed/certified as a healthcare professional and have strong clinical skills in assisting breastfeeding families
· Have met the IBLCE exam eligibility requirements

May 14-15 covers the IBLCE exam blueprint that will provide a foundation for study and practice. May 16 will cover test taking strategies, photos and practice exams.
