Amy Peterson, IBCLC
Amy Peterson is an IBCLC in private practice. She has worked with breastfeeding mothers since 1996, professionally since 2001. Her practice primarily consists of difficult breastfeeding cases, including disorganized and dysfunctional sucks. Amy enjoys being an advocate for mothers who need encouragement to help them reach their breastfeeding goals. She often works side-by-side with co-author Mindy, a Speech-Language Pathologist, bringing a wider scope of service to her mother-baby clients. In addition to co-authoring Balancing Breast and Bottle: Reaching Your Breastfeeding Goals, she is co-author of “Taking Care of Your Breastfed Babies’ Teeth,” published in the Journal of Human Lactation (2008), and enjoys speaking at lactation conferences. Amy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Texas in Austin. She lives in Jerome, Idaho, with her husband and their four children.
